As one of the firm’s Tax Principals and a member of the Construction Industry Services Group, Michael serves client’s by providing timely financial, managerial and tax advice to business owners and their management.

Mike is experienced in assisting client’s with multi state tax planning and compliance engagements; accounting, auditing and consulting engagements, valuation engagements; estate and trust planning and compliance including tax and probate court engagements as well as representation of client’s before the Internal Revenue Service and Connecticut Department of Revenue Services.

Michael’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mike is a certified member of The National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). NACVA is a professional association that is dedicated to the most professional standards in the field of business valuation and litigation consulting disciplines.

Michael is the Past President of the Bridgeport Area Group of Certified Public Accountants and has held other offices within that organization. In addition, Mike is a member of the Construction Industry CPAs/Consultant Association and Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. 

Community activities include service on the board of Material Exchange, a not-for-profit organization, a Board Member as well as a Finance and Audit Committee member of the Fairfield County Chapter of the American Red Cross, and treasurer and a coach of his local soccer association.

Michael received his Bachelor of Science from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut and has practiced public accounting since 1986. He has been associated with Nishball, Carp, Niedermeier, Pacowta & Co., P.C. since 1989.
