Stanley A. Carp, CPA
As a member of the Firm’s tax department, Stanley has over thirty years experience in estate, retirement, and income tax planning as well as client representation before the Internal Revenue Service and the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services. His specialty includes tax planning regarding divorce, including expert witness testimony. Stanley is responsible for the firm’s education and quality control in the individual, trust and estate tax areas as well as federal and state income tax compliance, research and planning.
Stanley’s association with Nishball, Carp, Niedermeier, Pacowta & Co., P.C. started in August 1964 as a staff accountant for Nishball & Nishball, an early predecessor of the current firm. In May 1969 he was admitted as partner. He has had extensive experience in auditing and accounting from 1964 - 1974. Since 1974, Stanley concentrated his professional areas to consulting in the field of taxation.
Stanley has served as past president of the Jewish Community Center as well as a member of the Board and Officer of the Jewish Community Foundation and the Seymour Hollander Housing Corp. He also served as a past president of the Bridgeport Area Group of Certified Public Accountants and is a member of the AICPA - Tax Division and the CSCPA - Tax Division.
Stanley received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Economics from the University of Vermont majoring in accounting. He was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1968.
